User Oriented Information Quality Evaluation System with Fuzzy Measures -Application for Website's Search Engines-
In this thesis, we propose a new methodology for evaluating information quality integrated with FSM based Modified Structuring Modeling Method and Fuzzy Integral.
In our integrated evaluation method, we firstly analyze the principal factors of the questionnaire obtained by the feedbacks from consumers who use the information database and figures out the average value of the extracted factors. In this step, the dimensions brought forward by former researchers are investigated. Secondly, some experts research and assign values to the weight vectors using FSM or Modified Structural Modeling Method or AHP. Finally, fuzzy measure is introduced to calculate the integrated evaluation value by fuzzy integral.
Talking on evaluation of quality on the Web site, there are some other works using fuzzy qualitative methods such as LOWA and LWA. We also refer to them and give two results derived by their method and ours as a comparative research as a practical example about evaluation of Google web search engine and Yahoo web search one.
