■ 概要   The author contributed to 2. Issues concerning fisheries in modern times 2.1 Management, (pp.259-267) as a single author. This book is an English translation of a book titled as "Suiken Seibutsu Kagaku Nyumon" published in March 2009, by the financial assistance of Grants in Aid of JSPS. Translated by editers. The contents of the author's contribution illustrates various problems that the fishery industry faces by categorizing these as seven "K"s, as Konnnan or problems. They are soaring fuel cost, decreasing consumption, stagnated fish price, failing in international procurement, aging of fishers, lack of successors and decreasing stock.   Kurokura, Hisashi & N.
