"Rakuzeikeinou": Visit to Kyoto by Nakai Riken
■ Outline
Confuciast Nakai Riken is known as a hermit. But he once accepted the invitation of a noble in 1776 and stayed in Kyoto for a year. This paper elucidates how Riken felt at that time by translating his "Riken KOfuu(Collection of his Chinese poems)". We can see that he felt honored by the invitation, but the stay there was not pleasant, and he felt isolated there.
