■ Title   Characteristics of Japanese social welfare and research into welfare in Japan:From the view of welfare history, theories of welfare states and globalization

■ Outline   This thesis describes characteristics of Japanese social welfare and research into welfare and differences from Europe and U.S.A. I traced Japanese welfare history in this thesis because I would like to clarify the reason why there are such differences from foreign countries. In Japan, history of research into welfare is shorter than Europe and academic circles of welfare are still developing. I want to emphasize that research into welfare in the future should think dynamism of globalization as more important than stationary theories of welfare states that are popular in foreign countries.   Single   Bulletin of Daito Bunka University Social Science No.49      2011/03
