■ Outline   This book chapter deals with the early years of the German East Asiatic Society (OAG), i.e. roughly with the development of the society within the last quarter of the 19th century.   Based on one of my earlier conference papers, this chapter deals with the first 25 years of the German East Asiatic Society (OAG), which were characterized by various moves from one home to the next.   Single   Reinold Ophuels-Kashima et al.
